Short-term support for families with children

Sometimes something drastic changes in a family – a birth, divorce, illness, loss or a move. Such events can disrupt the balance within the family. During such periods, I offer temporary support to families who could use some extra guidance to regain peace, connection and structure.

Offer

I offer short-term, flexible support to families, maximum three months. Together we look at what is needed at the moment – practically, emotionally and pedagogically.

I work with the child in his or her familiar environment, through play and activities that match the child’s experience. You as a parent always remain actively involved. I connect to what is already there, and build on that with the child and parent(s).

Begeleiding

I combine knowledge and experience with a warm, practical approach. I look not only at what is ‘not going well’, but at the whole picture: what does this family, this child, need at this moment in order to move forward?

  • system-oriented – I work with the whole family, not just with the child
  • holistic – I look at the child as a whole – body, behavior, emotions, environment
  • flexible – we plan in consultation at times that suit your situation

I coach families:

  • who are dealing with a major event (such as birth, divorce, loss, long-term illness)
  • where it temporarily fails to maintain the daily rhythm and mutual connection
  • where children need extra support on a social-emotional level
  • NAH, epilepsy or long-term illness of the child
  • where parents have diAiculty with Dutch as a second language

Criteria

I offer guidance under the following AGB codes:

  • 41549379 – PGB providers
  • 98108220 – Provider of social support | youth care

Conditions for deployment:

  • children up to 18 years of age
  • short-term request for help after a drastic event
  • no 24-hour care required
  • no deployment in case of serious psychiatric problems requiring treatment
  • No long-term supervision
